Bones in the Home

Sir Ossian Brewthorne has been around far longer than the Elf on the Shelf. Longer than elves entirely, if you ask him. According to household lore — passed down through generations, none of whom remember telling it — Ossian once served as Court Chronicler to a forgotten Winter Kingdom where hot beverages were considered a diplomatic necessity.

When the kingdom fell (budget cuts, poor insulation, and a coup led by gingerbread men), Ossian wandered the world for centuries until settling in a quiet home filled with strong coffee, old records, and better-than-average company. He now emerges every December to observe, advise, and occasionally judge the mortals who inhabit his space.

Ossian does not “report to Santa.”
He reports to no one.
He simply sits, sips, and surveys the world with regal indifference.

This December, he invites you to follow his daily appearances — one photo each day — as he reclaims the holidays from the intrusive cheer of lesser beings.

Welcome to Bones in the Home: a seasonal celebration of skeleton sovereignty, caffeinated contemplation, and mildly questionable decision-making.

Holiday Coffees from Sir Ossian's Pantry

No Kings Coffee

A bold, principled cup for those who prefer public broadcasting over would-be monarchs and strongmen. Two dollars from every bag goes to support public broadcasting.

Yule Blend

A warm, wintery coffee designed for quiet mornings, twinkling lights, and the unnerving feeling of being watched by a very small skeleton in a crown.
