Lammas: A Sabbat Brew

A medium roast for those who greet the harvest with grateful hands.

Lammas marks the first harvest—the moment when months of quiet labor finally become something you can hold. It is a celebration of bread, grain, and gratitude, but also a reminder that every harvest reflects the choices made long before the fields turned gold.

This medium roast comes from the Rwenzori Mountains of western Uganda, where more than 500 farming families work together through the Busongora North Coffee Farmers' Cooperative. Every bean can be traced back to the land where it was grown, reflecting generations of knowledge, careful stewardship, and a shared commitment to producing exceptional coffee while building a stronger future for their communities.

In the cup, Lammas is full and balanced, with notes of brown sugar and caramel that echo fresh bread cooling on a wooden table. Sweet without being sugary, rich without becoming heavy, it is a coffee that rewards slow mornings and quiet reflection.

Some harvests are measured in grain. Others are measured in the lives we help cultivate along the way.

This one is both.

Size: 12 oz (340g)

Coffee Notes

Grown at elevations between 1,500 and 2,000 meters in Uganda's Rwenzori Mountains, this washed-process coffee showcases the clarity and sweetness the region is known for. Produced from  Arabica varieties to deliver a balanced cup with comforting notes of brown sugar and caramel, a smooth body, and a clean finish.

The coffee is produced by the Busongora North Coffee Farmers' Cooperative, a farmer-owned organization representing more than 500 smallholder families. Coffee cherries are carefully sorted and processed at nearby washing stations before being dried, milled, cupped, and prepared for export.

Beyond producing outstanding coffee, the cooperative invests in sustainable farming practices, traceability, and agricultural education, helping growers improve both quality and long-term livelihoods. Every lot can be traced back to the farms where it was grown—a harvest built on transparency, stewardship, and the belief that today's work creates tomorrow's abundance.

Sold in compostable bags. Net wt 12 oz (340g). Whole bean or ground.
